Accessibility Statement
Gotham Bagels wants everyone to be able to find a great bagel — and that includes everyone being able to use this website. We are committed to making gothambagels.com accessible to people with disabilities, consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applicable state accessibility requirements. To meet that commitment, we design and test this site to conform to theWeb Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard widely referenced for ADA website accessibility.
What this site does
- Semantic markup: pages use meaningful headings in logical order, landmarks, lists, and a "skip to main content" link so screen reader and keyboard users can move around efficiently.
- Keyboard navigation: all menus, links, buttons, and disclosure widgets work with a keyboard alone, with clearly visible focus indicators.
- Text alternatives: images carry meaningful alternative text; purely decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Color and contrast: text colors are chosen to meet or exceed WCAG contrast requirements, and color is never the only way information is conveyed.
- Reduced motion: animations respect your device's "reduce motion" setting.
An ongoing effort
Accessibility isn't a one-time project. We review the site as we add pages and features, and we know some parts may not work perfectly for everyone yet. When we find a barrier — or you point one out — we work to fix it.
